Vicwest Income Fund is an open-ended, limited-purpose investment trust based in Oakville, Ontario. The Fund has traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: VIC.UN) since 2005, and the company has a history spanning over 100 years.
At 15 manufacturing facilities across
Canada, the Fund's 1,000 dedicated employees provide quality
products and services to customers in domestic and international
markets. The Fund fabricates, sells and distributes primarily
three product groups:
- Building construction products, which
in 2007 accounted for 68% of total sales
The Fund is one
of Canada's leading suppliers of metal roofing, siding and
other building products to the industrial, commercial, institutional
(ICI), agricultural and residential markets. The Fund fabricates
and markets these products under the trade names of Vicwest,
Mercury Metals and Valley Truss & Metal.
- Agricultural storage products, which
in 2007 accounted for 22% of total sales
Operating under
the Westeel trade name, the Fund is one of Canada's foremost manufacturers
of steel containment products for agricultural storage and
handling of grain and fertilizer, such as bins, hopper cones
and other related equipment.
- Liquid storage products, which in 2007
accounted for 10% of total sales
The Fund's steel storage
tanks and accessories are manufactured and distributed under
the trade names Westeel, Northern Steel and NSI. These products
are sold to the oil & gas, agricultural, commercial, forestry,
mining and other sectors.
